Lena Kemmer’s path to the WorldWCR Championship is a story of dedication, family influence, and relentless ambition. At just 20 years old, the Austrian racer has already made significant strides in the world of motorsports. As the only Austrian competitor in the inaugural all-female Superbike series, Lena’s journey from local circuits to the world stage is both inspiring and emblematic of her commitment to the sport.

Lena Kemmer’s passion for racing was ignited at a young age, thanks to her father, a former motorcycle racer. “I was involved in racing since I was a little child because my dad was a motorcycle racer too,” Lena shares. Her early experiences on her granddad’s pavement soon transitioned into pit biking on a karting track. By the age of 15, Lena was ready for the real racetrack, beginning her journey in the Austrian Junior Cup before moving to the European Women’s Championship.
In 2022, Lena was selected for the RedBull Rookies Cup Selection, where she proudly made it to the final as the only girl. This achievement marked a significant milestone in her career and further fueled her determination. “It made me really proud to be the only girl there,” she says. Lena’s resilience was also evident in her personal life; her boyfriend is a racer too, driving on four wheels. He recently won the 2WD National Austrian Rally Championship, highlighting a family deeply embedded in motorsports.

Additionally, Lena competed in the Austrian junior cup where she achieved amazing results. With 2 podiums, and a 2nd and 3rd place race result to her name, it is no surprise she was selected to compete in the WorldWCR.
Being part of the WorldWCR Championship is a source of immense pride for Lena. “I am very proud to have the chance to ride in the WorldWCR and to be the only Austrian competitor,”
she says. Lena reflects on her goals following her first season, “I want to learn as much as possible, achieve a top ten result, and represent my country.”

Looking ahead, Lena’s aspirations extend beyond the current season. “Once I have more experience, I want to compete against men again to show that girls can be fast too,” she says. Her long-term goal is to inspire more women and girls to join the sport. Lena’s advice for aspiring female racers is both practical and empowering: “Be confident about yourself and know that you can ride fast on a motorcycle.”

Lena Kemmer’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the impact of familial support. Her story is a reminder of the heights that can be reached with determination and passion. As the WorldWCR Championship progresses, we eagerly anticipate watching Lena’s continued success and the trail she will blaze for future generations of female racers.
